Where we focus
MW Cares invests in four areas where support can open a real door for someone who needs one.
Students and Youth
Scholarships, leadership programs, and school-based initiatives that help students get to the next level. The investment is in the potential that already exist.
Programs we've supported include the Young Women's Preparatory Academy (Fort Worth ISD), St. Philip's School, youth STEM and leadership initiatives across North Texas, and campus-based scholarship programs at area universities.

Campus Support
Campus food insecurity is more common than most people realize. A student shouldn't have to choose between eating and finishing a semester. MW Cares supports campus food programs and other efforts in ways that protect students' dignity while keeping them on track.
In January 2025, MW Cares partnered with Tarleton State University Fort Worth to open the Purple Pantry, a grocery store-style, self-service food pantry where students scan their student ID to access fresh, frozen, and refrigerated food along with toiletries and school supplies. No restrictions. No supervision. Simply enabling students to get what they need so they can focus on finishing their degree.
Economic Stability
One-time support helps, but lasting stability requires more. MW Cares backs programs that help individuals and families build toward independence through workforce development, access to opportunity, and support systems that strengthen stability.

Community Partners
Some of the strongest work in North Texas is already happening inside local organizations that know the people they serve. MW Cares partners with those organizations because they're already trusted in the communities they work in.
